Hunter Biden Calls on Joe Rogan to Help Stage Donald Trump Jr. Cage Match

Hunter Biden is serious about wanting to stage a cage match between him and Donald Trump Jr., and he wants Joe Rogan to help.

In an extensive post shared on X, former President Joe Biden’s son called out Joe Rogan for his involvement in the UFC Freedom 250 event. Rogan co-hosted the event, alongside Daniel Cormier, on the White House’s South Lawn on Saturday (June 14).

“I wish I could sit down with you face to face and explain why so many of us were offended by the UFC fight on the South Lawn of the White House,” wrote Hunter.

He said his issue isn’t the UFC—which he called a “bona fide American success story”—or the fighters for taking part, or even the “hilarious and brilliant” comedian Shane Gillis. But he believes that “public spaces are sacred.”

“The White House does not belong to Donald Trump,” he continued. “It does not belong to any President. It belongs to the people. To treat it as Caesar treated the Colosseum is antithetical to everything our founding fathers fought for. This is not Rome. Presidents are not emperors doling out bread and circuses for the peasants. The White House is the People’s House. This ‘celebration’ could have happened in any stadium within a stone’s throw of the South Lawn.”

He described the event as “an exhibition of imperial domination,” rather than a celebration of the founding of America.

“The White House belongs to us,” he wrote. “All of us. The person who sits behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office is nothing more than an honored guest. A temporary caretaker. The President is our servant. Not our Caesar. Respectfully, Hunter. P.S. Cage match between me and Don Jr.? Your call on the venue. Anywhere but the South Lawn.”

Dear Joe,

I wish I could sit down with you face to face and explain why so many of us were offended by the UFC fight on the South Lawn of the White House.

Hunter’s post was accompanied by a video and a screenshot of his tweet, which quickly went viral, sparking debates on social media about the appropriateness of the White House event and the long-running feud between the Biden and Trump families.

This isn’t the first time Biden has expressed concern over the UFC Freedom 250 event taking place on the White House South Lawn. In an appearance on California Gov. Gavin Newsom's YouTube channel earlier this month, he criticized the choice.

"I like the UFC. I like watching it. They ruined it," he said. "They have to put it on the goddamn South Lawn? And in the midst of the 250th anniversary. … I don't have anything against Dana White. But what the fuck, man? Like, it's your brand. Like, how are you doing this? How is this appropriate?"

The cage match idea is not new, either. Hunter first challenged Don Jr. and Eric Trump in a video shared by YouTuber Andrew Callaghan's Channel 5 in April.

"I told him I'd do it—100 percent in, if he can pull it off. And if he can't, I'm still coming," Biden said.

Callaghan later said he believed Biden’s proposal was a joke, but would be "more than happy to facilitate" the match if the Trumps were "willing to engage Hunter in mutual combat."

The White House Communications Director, Steven Cheung, simply responded to the challenge, saying, "Hunter wouldn't even be able to pass a ps test."

The UFC Freedom 250 event was a controversial move by the Trump administration, using the South Lawn for a mixed martial arts showcase during the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations. Critics, including Hunter Biden, argued that it turned the People’s House into a spectacle akin to the Roman Colosseum. Supporters, however, saw it as a celebration of American achievement and a way to bring entertainment to the public.

Hunter Biden’s public criticism and cage match challenge have drawn attention to the ongoing political tensions between the Biden and Trump families. The challenge has been met with mixed reactions, with some viewing it as a publicity stunt and others as a genuine call-out.

Joe Rogan, the podcast host and UFC commentator, has not yet responded publicly to Hunter Biden’s request. However, the call for a cage match between Hunter Biden and Donald Trump Jr. has captured the imagination of many, becoming a trending topic across social media platforms. It remains to be seen whether Rogan will take up the offer to act as a matchmaker.

In his post, Hunter Biden channeled a sentiment shared by many who feel that the White House should remain a symbol of democracy and governance, not a venue for entertainment spectacles. He wrote, "The President is our servant. Not our Caesar."

The feud between Hunter Biden and Donald Trump Jr. has simmered for years, with both sides trading barbs over business dealings, substance abuse allegations, and political differences. The cage match challenge represents a new, more confrontational phase in their public exchanges.

As of now, neither Donald Trump Jr. nor Eric Trump have accepted the challenge, though Don Jr. has previously mocked Hunter Biden on social media. The Trumps have historically used humor and aggression to deflect criticism, and a cage match even as a mock event would be unprecedented for a presidential family.

The situation has also drawn in political commentators and celebrities, with many weighing in on the appropriateness of the White House event and the proposed fight. Late-night show hosts have riffed on the story, and social media influencers have created memes and parody videos.

Hunter Biden’s call for a cage match is not just about a physical confrontation; it is emblematic of a deeper cultural divide in America. The White House, once a symbol of unity, has become a battleground for partisan symbolism. The UFC event and the subsequent challenge are just the latest examples of how political figures are using entertainment and spectacle to convey their messages.

As the nation celebrates its 250th anniversary, the debate over what is appropriate for the People’s House continues to rage. Hunter Biden has made his position clear, and he has thrown down the gauntlet to Donald Trump Jr. The ball is now in Joe Rogan’s court to see if he will help set the stage for what could be one of the most unusual political spectacles in American history.
