New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tributes on behalf of the nation to the CRPF personnel who lost their lives in a terror attack on their convoy in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama on this day in 2019.

"Tributes to the courageous heroes we lost in Pulwama in 2019. Generations to come will never forget their sacrifice and their unwavering dedication to the nation," PM Modi wrote in a post on X.

Union Minister Amit Shah also paid emotional tribute to the soldiers martyred in the 'cowardly terrorist attack in Pulwama'.

Home Minister Shah wrote in a post on social media platform X, “Heartfelt tribute on behalf of the grateful nation to the soldiers martyred in the cowardly terrorist attack in Pulwama on this day in the year 2019. Terrorism is the biggest enemy of the entire human race and the whole world is united against it. Be it surgical strike or air strike, the Modi government is determined to completely destroy the terrorists by running a campaign with a 'zero tolerance' policy against them.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also paid tribute to the brave CRPF personnel who sacrificed their lives for the country.

“On this day in 2019, India lost its brave CRPF personnel in a horrific terrorist attack in Pulwama. Their sacrifice for the nation will never be forgotten. I pay my tribute to them and extend unwavering support to their families. India stands united to honour their valour and we remain resolute in our fight against terrorism,” the Defence Minister wrote in a post on X.

In 2019, a suicide bomber targeted a convoy carrying troops on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
